10th April 2025

These are the release notes for the April 2025 tranche of updates. We actively update and maintain our software packages as well as infrastructure to keep your sites running as fast as possible.

The changes in this release are as follows:

  • [Maintenance] Client Portal Upgrades: We have performed essential upgrades to our Client Portal
  • [Enhancement] DirectAdmin Upgrade: We have upgraded the version of DirectAdmin on our hosting cluster to version 1.675
  • [Enhancement] Streamlined Abuse Report Viewing: If you have received an abuse report, you can now view these directly in the client portal, and you will be notified about any abuse reports relating to your services.
  • [Enhancement] WordPress Security Update: We have now implemented an automatic upgrade of the WordPress Core, Plugins or Themes if any of them have a CVE with a CVSS score of 9 or higher. This helps to keep your site secured even when you're unable to keep on top of updates. We intentionally set the CVSS Score high to prevent unwanted automatic updates. Clients will receive an email from us when an automatic update has been applied. If you would like to unsubscribe from this feature and manually control ALL updates, please raise a Support Case and we can add your account as an exception.
  • [Enhancement] Release Notes Menu Item: We have now added a Release Notes item to the client navigation bar in the Client Portal, making it easier to find our Release Notes.
  • [NEW] Asset Inventory Interface: We have now implemented the ability to view any hardware assets issued to you within the Client Portal. A new 'Asset Manager' button is now available in the navigation bar and displays the list of both current and historic hardware items.

The above upgrades were performed in line with our regular patching schedule, and exclude other general maintenance patches, such as security updates and kernel updates which are performed regularly and in most cases, autonomously.

If you notice any issues in relation to the recent upgrades, please raise a support ticket.
