10th May 2025
If you are viewing these Release Notes before the end of the month, please note that additional features and release notes may be added before the month end.
These are the release notes for the May 2025 tranche of updates. We actively update and maintain our software packages as well as infrastructure to keep your sites running as fast as possible.
The changes in this release are as follows:
- [Maintenance] Client Portal Upgrades: We have performed essential upgrades to our Client Portal
- [Enhancement] Support Priority Warnings: We reluctantly had to add this feature due to abuse of our Support Priority system. When selecting a priority during the ticket creating process, clients have the option of 4 priorities (P4 - Low - Default, P3 - Medium, P2 - High, and P1 - Critical). Over the past few weeks, we have seen an increase people abusing this system, categorising their request as Critical or High Priority to try and jump the queue. We want Support to be available and accessible to everyone, and it should be fair, allowing those with actual Critical and High Priority issues to get the help they need faster. As such, we have now added a message to the top of the Submit Ticket interface, advising clients to choose the correct priority. Furthermore, a message is displayed when a client selects 'Critical - P1' or 'High - P2', advising them that there is a £25 Admin Charge for misuse, allowing them to recategorise their request. There is a link to our Priority Matrix which provides examples of types of issues and their priority. We emphasise that people with genuine Critical or High priority issues will not face any charges. We hope that this will act as a deterrent to prevent people from abusing our Support Channels, allowing a fairer triage process for all. Email Support is unaffected and all tickets raised via Email are automatically tagged as Low Priority.
- [Enhancement] Omada Controller Updates: We have upgraded our Omada Controller to the latest stable release,
5.15.20.20
- [Enhancement] DirectAdmin Upgrade: We have upgraded the version of DirectAdmin on our hosting cluster to version
1.676
- [Enhancement] Exim Configuration Change: We have amended the Exim configuration on our hosted email service to prevent clients from authenticating without encryption, and connecting on port 25. Only encrypted authentication mechanisms are now supported, and on secure ports.
- [Enhancement] Fusion - Battery Sensor: We have now created a Battery Health sensor on the Zarro Fusion service, reporting the battery health of laptops. This data will be made available to clients through the Fusion Manager interface shortly.
- [Bugfix] Dovecot Configuration: Following reports of IMAP issues on our hosted email service, we resolved a Dovecot Configuration File bug, which prevented the service from starting.

The above upgrades were performed in line with our regular patching schedule, and exclude other general maintenance patches, such as security updates and kernel updates which are performed regularly and in most cases, autonomously.
If you notice any issues in relation to the recent upgrades, please raise a support ticket.
