Please note that these instructions may work on other Linux Distributions, but have not been tested. Use at your own risk.

  1. Connect to your Debian server via SSH.

  2. Update your packages and install GNOME:

    sudo apt update && sudo apt install task-gnome-desktop -y

  3. Enable graphical boot and restart:

    sudo systemctl set-default graphical.target
sudo reboot

Note: GNOME will be available after reboot. For headless servers, remote desktop access must be configured separately.
