Fibre to the Cabinet / SoGEA
This involves a fibre optical connection from the ISP to your local street cabinet, and then a copper line to your premises from the street cabinet (typically overhead via telephone poles).
Fibre to the Premises
This involves a fibre optical connection from the ISP to your local street cabinet and then an underground (occasionally overhead) fibre cable is routed to your house, delivering a full-fibre connection.
Leased Line
This involves a fibre cable directly between you and the ISP. This is the most reliable and the fastest method of delivering broadband currently, but it's also the most expensive.
