Getting Started with Zarro Antispam
Zarro Antispam is our in-house spam and virus filtering solution. It is built upon trusted Open Source technologies, including Proxmox Mail Gateway, SpamAssassin, ClamAV and Linux. It has been built with high availability, resiliency and performance in mind - as such, we provide a failover setup.
Please note that this is an opt-in solution. If you haven't subscribed to the service, then the below instructions will not work. Please contact the Zarro Support team to have your account setup.
Getting your domain ready for Antispam
To deploy Antispam for your domains, you will need to add at least 1 MX record for your domain, however we recommend creating 2 to allow for failover.
Priority: 10
Type: MX
Host: @ (or blank)
Record: antispam.ukhost.cloud
Priority: 20
Type: MX
Host: @ (or blank)
Record: fallback-mx1.ukhost.cloud
The primary antispam cluster (antispam.ukhost.cloud) is hosted in the United Kingdom. For geographical resiliency, the secondary antispam cluster (fallback-mx1.ukhost.cloud) is hosted in Germany.
Allowing emails relayed from Antispam
By default, many email servers will begin rejecting emails coming from our antispam solution, unless you make some simple configuration changes. This is because our Antispam solution advertises itself as the sending server, and as such, will fail SPF checks on your receiving server.
You should whitelist the IP Addresses of the clusters.
Clusters:
antispam.ukhost.cloud: 149.102.131.112
fallback-mx1.ukhost.cloud: 194.163.183.30
For users of Zarro Hosting, this section is not required. Our email servers are already configured to accept mail from Zarro Antispam.
You should now begin to receive emails through the new filter. You can check if emails have been parsed through the filter by looking at the footer of any received email.
Quarantine Emails
Quarantine Digest emails are sent around 00:05 every day. You will only receive a digest email if there are spam emails in your quarantine area.
You can access your quarantine at any time by visiting https://antispam.ukhost.cloud:8006 and clicking the 'Request Quarantine Link' button. You will receive an email with your unique access token for the quarantine. You have the ability to release, whitelist, blacklist or deliver emails from there.
